What makes a good parent?

I think what makes a good parent, is that you have discipline and that you stay incharge. You should not hit your kids and scream right infront of them. Treat them kindly, and them if they do not listen then you put your foot down. Some parents just yell and scream when the kids don't even know what they did wrong. I think that you and your spouse need to contribute to parenting, you need to talk about rules and what you are going to be doing that day. If you fail to communicate with your spouse then that is where the fighting and agruing takes place.

    i agree with fighting with the spouse because if you fight in front of your children you can make the child feel that thats how you treat people in the modern world.

    I agree that if you are having problems with your spouse you should dicuss it when the children go to bed or in another room. Children shouldn't see their parents figthing. It's not good for them or the parents.

    i agree with the fighting in front of the kids because they could possibly grow up to be fighting with there spouse or just a girl or boy in general and thats not good. i agree with everything you posted :)
