What do I think makes a good parent? I think that a good parent consists of unconditional love towards their child. The child should always have a lovely family, a good and safe home to because they deserve it. The child should always be kept safe no matter what. The child should be played with and talked to and have clean clothes and throughout the years, be taught responsibilities and be given positive reinforcement. Children should have a parent to talk to and a friend when they need one because the bond between the parent and child will always be there no matter what the age. Parents should know that they have a huge life time commitment ahead of them when they bring a child into the world. Parents should know that children will always come first. Parents should always have confidence and show leadership. They should always think positive, even through the rough times. Before having a child, the parent should have a steady job to help provide for the child and should preferably have a significant other to help. As of discipline? I think most parents should atleast try to be an authoritative parent because it's whats best for the child's development in the long run. For parents, there is no greater accomplishment then watching their child learn and grow.
